I figure it doesn't keep me from keeping some things unlocked - just lets people know that there are more entries, just that they are locked..

me too, but since I have no intention of friending everyone who says something... and some people keep friending me w/o saying anything dispite my profile request....

oh yeah, I just don't friend those guys back. I'm to the point where I never friend anyone unless I've gotton to know them first, or they come reccomended from a current friend.
